Nine Speakers Set For Next Pechakucha Event
Pechakucha Bermuda is set to present a number of speakers at the RAA Club on Friday, November 20, marking the first time that the event has been held in St. George’s.
The free event will be held from 6.00pm to 9.30pm, with refreshments available to purchase.
The event’s presenters, each of whom will speak for 6 minutes 40 seconds, include Raymond Lambert [Transformation of Bermuda’s economy]; Ami Zanders [Art Walk]; Richard Higgins [How to Feed the Island - Food Security in Bermuda]; Liz Schaefer [Fluent]; Tara Cassidy [Getting Past Myself]; Tim Marshall [The Bermuda National Trust. Is it relevant?]; Zina Edwards Malcolm [How a business model can create a community]; Steve Lock [Bermuda Pilot Gig Rowing]; and Adrian Kawaley-Lathan [TBD].
A spokesperson said, “The first Pechakucha Bermuda event was held three years ago at the Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society, with 35 people in attendance. The last Pechakucha at The Young Mens Social Club in July drew a crowd of over 200 people.
“This is the first time Pechakucha will be in St. Georges at the RAA Club on Grenadier Lane this Friday, November 20 from 6.00pm to 9.30pm. The event is free with refreshments and dinner available to purchase at a reasonable cost.”
