20-Year-Old Shooting Victim Airlifted Off Island

The 20-year-old male shooting victim has been air-ambulanced off island for medical treatment, the police said, adding that the investigation is on going.

Following the shooting on Friday [Jan 22], the police said , “It appears that a 20-year-old Pembroke man was riding his motorcycle turning on to Overview Hill when two males on another motorcycle rode next to him and opened fire, before leaving North Shore traveling east.”

“Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen this incident to contact police on 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477.

    If you think that all of these shootings have nothing to do with you, think again.

    How many of these dudes have jobs & health insurance? If they do, what do you think all of this expensive airlifting & healthcare that should never be necessary is doing to YOUR insurance premiums.

    If they don’t have insurance who picks up the medical bill when they don’t have the money to pay for their care?

    How many tens of thousands get run up in bills for every shooting?

How insensitive can you be that you’re worrying about your premium while compassionate people, will clearly be hoping he’s okay. I am stunned at some of the BS I read on here
