Bermuda Bound Air Canada Flight Diverts To NY
Air Canada flight 942 from Toronto to Bermuda has been delayed after it reportedly had to make an emergency landing earlier today [Mar 2] at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York due to an engine issue.
CityNews Toronto reported on its Twitter account that an “engine issue forced #AC942 Toronto-Bermuda flight to make emergency landing at JFK. 100 passengers on board deplaned normally.”

According to the Aviation Herald, “An Air Canada Airbus A319-100, registration C-FYJI performing flight AC-942 from Toronto, ON to Bermuda, was enroute at FL390 over the Atlantic Ocean about 250nm south-south-east of New York, NYwhen the crew reported engine stall and decided to turn around and divert to New York’s JFK Airport.
“The crew advised they were planning to stop on the runway for an inspection. The aircraft landed safely on JFK’s runway 31R and stopped on the runway. Emergency services reported seeing nothing out of the ordinary, the aircraft subsequently taxied to the apron with emergency services in trail.”
