BEST Launch Online Survey For Public Input

April 4, 2016

The Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce [BEST] has just launched an online community survey to assist them in accessing their impact and services. They are inviting all residents to take a moment to respond to six research questions which will help them shape their focus and services for 2016 and beyond.

Stuart Hayward, BEST’s Chief Advocacy Officer says, “BEST continues to be a vehicle through which ordinary citizens can exert pressure on government policies and practices. We provide a range of necessary and beneficial advocacy services to the government and the people of Bermuda without charge.”

BEST wants to hear what the community has to say and are inviting your feedback, and you can respond to their survey by clicking here.

Thank you Mr. Hayward for your years of unwavering service to our Bermuda Community.

I admire your willingness to go all in on our important issues where political, social and economic pressure usually prevails and have silenced others.

I have watched other environmental groups like Greenrock go very quiet recently on issues of energy generation and historically The Bermuda National Trust on land development.

BEST has found a way to be bold, clear and consistent in reminding our Government Ministers that they are legally obligated to execute their powers within the rules and regulations of our Bermuda laws.

Your willingness to go to court and have so many rulings in your favour is a beacon of hope in our increasingly compromised political, social and economic system.

Please continue to be proactive, clear and respectful.

We need the government to create managed sea bed for renewable energy investment like offshore wind….not only does our land need to be sustainable but our underwater land as well. We need to STOP LNG and start creating jobs and investing heavily in renewable energy. The investors are waiting and need to surveys and the space to be created and enforced by the BDA Government.

This is what Greenrock and BEST should be most focused on…!
