Omar Hayward To Compete In Montreal

Omar HaywardBermuda’s Omar Hayward will be travelling to Montreal to compete in the BISFed World Open Boccia Competition from April 28th – 30th.

Approximately 90 elite athletes from 15 countries will compete in Montreal hoping to gain valuable world ranking points.

Boccia Bermuda said, “This will be Omar’s second international competition, having competed in Colombia last October, where he made an impressive debut.

“Omar has been training six days a week in preparation for the competition and has shown tremendous potential in the short time he has been playing the sport.

“He was initially introduced to boccia through the WindReach Adaptive Sports Program which provides sporting opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
