BBA Present Butterfield With Club Person Of Year
The Bermuda Bicycle Association presented Butterfield and Mr. Curtis Dickinson, Group Head of Private Banking at Butterfield and an avid cyclist, with the award for Club Person of the Year 2015 for their support of the association’s major stage race, the Butterfield Bermuda Grand Prix.
Butterfield has been the title sponsor of the event for seven years, including the 2016 installment which concluded last Sunday.
BBA President Peter Dunne, Butterield’s Curtis Dickinson and Nigel Godfrey, Race Organiser of Butterfield Bermuda Grand Prix.
Mr. Dickinson said: “Butterfield is delighted to support the Bermuda Bicycle Association [BBA] and this world-class event. Over the past several decades, the BBA has successfully developed local talent and promoted the benefits of cycling in Bermuda.
“Promoting their efforts in the community and assisting with community events like this one are essential elements in Butterfield’s corporate social responsibility efforts.”

On hand for the presentation were BGP Event Director Nigel Godfrey and BBA president Peter Dunne.
Mr. Dunne commented, “The support provided by Butterfield and the enthusiasm with which Curtis and the Butterfield staff have embraced this event is a major contributor to the success of our athletes.
“Not only has the Bank provided financial support but the staff have come out in great numbers to help us manage the events with volunteers. This level of commitment is felt by the competitors and organizers, making for a safe and smooth event”.
