Netball: BAC, Summer Ballers, Youth Team Win
It was a Bermuda Netball Association Summer League triple header at the Bernard Park, with Teachers suffering their first loss of the season falling 33 – 21 to the B.A.C Women In Blue.
Kirstin Saltus led the B.A.C Women In Blue with 20 goals, while Darrika Simons added 8 goals and fresh off her 100m second place finish in the Bermuda National Track and Field Championships, Taahira Butterfield scored 5 goals. Danielle Raynor scored 11 goals for the Teachers who also got 10 goals from Debbie Deshields.
The Summer Ballers defeated the Swallows 16 – 9, the Swallows got 5 goals from Talia Lucas, with Shallan Dennis adding 6 goals.
The National Youth Team defeated the PHC Lady Zebras 29 – 10, Demiqua Daniels led the team to victory scoring 15 goals, Kaamilah Nasir added 13 goals and Selah Tuzo scored 1 goal, Vernicka Symonds scored 6 goals for the PHC Lady Zebras, Tyra-Lynn Simmons and Tahirah Hill scored 2 goals each.
