Terryn Fray, the Bermuda cricket team captain, said his side are determined to finish their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-Regional Qualifier campaign with another victory after putting themselves on the brink of qualification for next year’s Regional Final.

Bermuda top the standings on five points and boast a superior net run-rate heading into tomorrow’s [June 27] final match against Brazil at the North Field, National Sports Centre.

Fray’s team have yet to lose a wicket in commanding victories over Belize and Panama, with openers Onias Bascome and Delray Rawlins sharing an unbroken 121-run partnership.

“Hopefully we can win the toss and get a good hit,” Fray told Bernews. “If not, we’ll just look to get the job done.

“Qualification is pretty much secured, so hopefully we can put on an entertaining show. We’ll probably make a few changes and give some of the other guys an opportunity.”

Coach Cal Waldron said Bermuda would not ease off despite their commanding position. Brazil are yet to secure a point, having their lost their three matches.

“We want to finish the home series unbeaten and top of the table,” he said.

“It’s another game and we won’t take Brazil lightly. We’ll be professional in our approach and execution and look to finish with a win.”

Bermuda face Brazil at 3pm, with the Bahamas taking on Belize in the earlier match at 10.30am.
