Photos: BTC Opens New Flagship Retail Store
Today [June 6] marks the opening of the Bermuda Telephone Company’s [BTC] new retail store and bill payment centre in the Hamilton exchange building on the corner of Cedar Avenue and Victoria Street.
“The new flagship store will provide a greater level of customer comfort and choice along with the same great levels of customer service as before,” the company said.
“The new open-plan store provides a bigger customer sales and service area with booths for customers to meet with BTC customer representatives, a self-serve area where customers can pay their bills online and a dedicated repair centre.
“There is an internal bill payment drop-box for added convenience in addition to an external drop-box for after-hours non-cash payments. The accessories area has a Wi-Fi extender range with the lowest prices in Bermuda while the experience area will be home to an exciting new product in the coming weeks.”

“This is a milestone in the long and proud history of BTC,” explained Andy Hudson, BTC Chief Operating Officer. “While the Hamilton exchange is the central hub for all our network operations, having the retail store here as well marks its return to the company’s spiritual home as when the building was redeveloped in 1956 it housed the commercial offices.
“This flagship store reflects the ongoing investment across the company in terms of infrastructure, hardware, software and the people that make this company what it is.”
Customer Service Advisor Bernell Gibson, who has been with the company for 29 years, added: “The staff are delighted with the new store and we’re confident customers will be as well.
“We are now able to provide customers with a greater retail experience in addition to processing bill payments, plus in the coming weeks and months we will be expanding our range of products and services to offer even more choice.”
The opening hours of the new store are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.45pm.

very nice
Looks very nice but is there an entrance or ramp for those in wheelchairs or for persons who cannot climb stairs? I believe the other location had a ramp.
There is wheelchair access on Burnaby side.
Except that the design is poor and someone in a wheelchair will need assistance to get in…
it is amazing how things just come right back where they were
I sure hope these bright spark people with their new ideas have moved the drop box as well over to this new shop and put it in a position where it has 24 hour access so I can pay my bill and not get charged a late fee……. HELLO……….!!! PAYTENSION…….!!!!!!!
No thank you BTC, couldn’t keep my momma’s no. I move on. Bye!
