79-Year-Old Injured In Three Vehicle Collision

A 79-year-old woman was injured and taken to hospital following a three vehicle collision on South Road in Paget yesterday [Oct 26], and at last check she was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 11:45am on Wednesday, October 26th police and first responders attended a reported three vehicle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Lovers Lane.

“It appears that a car being driven along South Road struck a taxi and a truck, both being driven in the opposite direction.

“The car driver, a 79 year old Paget woman, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

“At last check she was in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

“All three vehicles were damaged. However, no other injuries were reported.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
