Two People Injured In Collision In Southampton

A 46-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy were injured, treated, and discharged from hospital following a reported two-vehicle collision in Southampton yesterday evening [Oct 23].

A police spokesperson said, “Around 7pm on Sunday, October 23rd police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Tribe Road No. 5 in Southampton.

“It appears that a car being driven along Middle Road was attempting to turn on to Tribe Road No. 5 when the collision occurred with a motorcycle being ridden in the opposite direction, in the vicinity of Port Royal Esso Service Station.

“The motorcyclist, a 46 year old Warwick man and his pillion passenger, a 12 year old Warwick boy were injured, taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged. There were no other injuries reported.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
