28-Year-Old Turns Himself In Following Collision

November 7, 2016

A 28-year-old man turned himself into police and was arrested in connection with a collision that injured a 7-year-old boy in Pembroke.

The police had previously said “apparently the male motorcyclist involved stopped and initially spoke with the child before riding off.”

In a statement today, a police spokesperson said, “A 28 year old man turned himself in to police Saturday afternoon and was arrested in connection with the collision that injured a 7 year old boy crossing North Shore Road, Pembroke in the vicinity of West Pembroke Primary School last Wednesday.

“He has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries. The injured boy was discharged from hospital Saturday [Nov 5].

“The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.”
