Pauletta Francis Launches First Children’s Book

November 14, 2016

“Positive thinking matters. Our thoughts become reality. The words that come out of our mouths will either hinder or propel us. ”

This is according to Bermuda’s newest children’s author Pauletta Francis who recently launched her first children’s book, Soar! – Positive Thinking for Unstoppable Kids at City Hall with her family, friends and other supporters in attendance.

Some of those well-wishers who attended included Premier Michael Dunkley, Assistant Commissioner of Education Dr. Freddie Evans and Executive Director of the Reading Clinic Dr. Glenn Faires.

As an educator with over 21 years of experience, Ms. Francis has a passion for literacy. She is a P 5 Teacher and Literacy Coach at Elliot Primary and has always wanted to write a children’s book.

When asked about why she decided to write the book, Ms. Francis said, “I believe in the power of positive thinking. I wrote Soar because I want to teach children that affirmations are magical. They will change children’s lives. I want children to grow up being confident and happy.”

Soar! – Positive Thinking for Unstoppable Kids is now available at Brown & Company, Bermuda Bookstore and from Ms. Francis.
