Arantxa King To Be Inducted Into Hall Of Fame
On January 29th, Bermudian Olympian Arantxa King will be inducted into the Massachusetts State Track Athlete Hall of Fame, being honoured for her performances during her time at Medford High.
The long jumper said, “My track teammates were among my best friends in high school, I also convinced a lot of my friends to do track so that was convenient for me. To this day, I have life long friendship with two of my high school teammates.
“I also had the privilege of running with my older sister my freshmen year in high school. My older sister is someone I admired to the extent that I strived to mimic and surpass her athletic and academic achievements. Running with her my freshmen year with our Mom as our coach made track meets a fun family affair full of a lot of success.”
Ms King has represented Bermuda at numerous high level international events including the Olympics, World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Carifta Games, CAC Games, and Pan American Games.
