BPS Appeal: Information On Message Circulating

The police said they are aware of an “anonymous message apparently being circulated” ‎suggesting that a “man driving a black taxi or minibus allegedly attempted to lure a boy with candy” in the Sandys area, and said that currently no reports have been received to substantiate it, however anyone who may have any relevant information should contact the police.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is aware of an anonymous message apparently being circulated via social media and mobile phone chat groups ‎suggesting that a man driving a black taxi or minibus allegedly attempted to lure a boy with candy in the Sound View, Sandys parish area on an unspecified date.

“Currently no reports have been received to substantiate this scenario‎. However, members of the public that may have any relevant information should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”
