BFA: “Milestone For Football Development”
The Technical Department of the Bermuda Football Association [BFA] have developed and written the curriculum and syllabus for the National Academy, marking “a milestone for football development in Bermuda.”
A BFA spokesperson said, “The Technical Department of the Bermuda Football Association have developed and written the Curriculum and Syllabus for the National Academy. This is a milestone for football development in Bermuda.
“Football stakeholders, players, coaches, administrators and the interested public are invited to attend either of two presentations. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear firsthand the vision of BFA Technical Development Director, Maurice Lowe, and Assistant Technical Development Director, Don Vickers.
Director Maurice Lowe says; “The document is the culmination of many hours of collaborative work with the National Academy Coaches in order to ensure we have a methodology that will progress the game forward and ultimately see continued success on the international stage. But, more importantly, it provides a template for those clubs who do not have a Curriculum and Syllabus for youth development.”
BFA President Mark Wade added; “We are delighted to be able to “tick off” another initiative in the BFA’s Strategic Plan. These presentations are keys to communicating the direction of our game. Maurice and his team will also be on hand to help every club develop their own Curriculum and Syllabus that can be implemented in their youth development programs.”
“The presentations will commence at 6:00 p.m. on April 10th and 11th at the Devonshire Recreation Club and the Port Royal Golf Club Board Room respectively.”
