Fire Service Extinguishes House Fire In Sandys

The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire on Tribe Road #6 in Sandys last night [Sept 5], with four vehicles and 10 personnel attending.

Spokesperson Acting Lieutenant Russann Francis said, “We responded to a house fire where we entered the building amidst heavy smoke conditions to ensure all occupants were accounted for and safe.

“During our search we found the fire contained to a bedroom closet and its contents. The residence sustained heavy smoke damage to the entire upper level.

“We responded with four vehicles and 10 personnel who quickly extinguished the fire using a 1 1/2″ hose line.

“There were no reported injuries at this incident and the cause of the fire will be under investigation.”
