“Rising Son Cruises will be throwing a charitable event on Saturday evening in hopes to raise money for the Hurricane relief in the Caribbean. The 62′ vessel will embark on a two-hour sunset cruise out into the great sound. All the alcohol will be graciously donated and supplied by Goslings Limited. There will also be delicious canapes donated and supplied by Fourways Inn.

“Tickets are $150 each and 100% of the preceeds will be split evenly with the charities below.

“These islands have sustained catastrophic damage in the wake of Hurricane Irma! As Bermudians we know all too well how fast a hurricane can change lives.

“The vessel Filante actually hailes from Antigua, which is the sister island to Barbuda [95% decimated] and has sailed in her waters for many years. Our other Vessel Rising Son II and her crew have spent many winters in the BVI waters and knows Tortola very well. This being said, many of us have connections to these islands and most of us are capable of extending a helping hand.

“We have specifically chosen Barbuda and Tortola for these relief efforts as we have close connections with the organizations and the islands. On a high note, an organization in Antigua will match whatever we donate to the Antiguan Barbuda Charity.”

The selected charities include Tortola Charity and Antigua Barbuda Charity. To purchase tickets, call Island Tour Centre on 236-1300, visit their Albuoys Point or Dockyard offices, or book online.
