Memorial Moon Walk To Be Held On January 31

January 19, 2018

Get your flashlights and candles ready to join Friends of Hospice for their second annual Memorial Moon Walk on Wednesday, January 31st.

This year walkers have the opportunity to walk under a “blue moon,” which refers to a second full moon in a month. Walkers are asked to arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start from Chaplin Bay Beach.

Nicky Gurret, one of the FOH organisers, said, “This is a wonderful walk in the moonlight on the beach to reflect on the lives of one’s loved ones who have passed and to support Agape House.”

The walk starts at Chaplin Bay and then proceeds to the back sand dunes along to the end of Horseshoe Bay and back. Parking is at Chaplin Bay parking lot or above on South Shore Road. Registration will begin at 6pm at a cost of $5 per walker.

For more information, contact Friends of Hospice at 232-0859 or info@hospice.bm or visit www.ptix.bm to purchase tickets.
