Basketball Winter: Chargers & Flyboys Win
The Bermuda Basketball League sponsored by One continued with a double header inside the Somersfield Academy Gymnasium producing 233 points.
Game One saw the Somerset Tsunamis fall to the Devonshire Chargers 71 – 61, Calvert Lee once again led the Devonshire Chargers to victory scoring 19 points, he also had 6 rebounds and 1 steal, while Dean Jones scored a game high 22 points for the Somerset Tsunamis, Jones would also have 9 rebounds, 2 assist, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots.
The Paget Flyboys defeated the Hamilton Parish Rockets 57 – 44 in the nightcap, the Paget Flyboys got a game high 19 points from Dion Easton to go along with his 10 rebounds, 3 assist, 3 steals and 1 blocked shot. The Hamilton Parish Rockets got 12 points from Aaron Katigbak, he also had 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal.
