Court: Drivers Fined & Banned For 18 Months

April 12, 2018

Two drink-drivers have been banned from the road for 18 months.

Lino Nanud and Wayne Broadley-Samuels appeared at Magistrates’ Court this morning and admitted driving when the proportion of alcohol in their blood was over the prescribed limit.

Nanud, 34, of Pembroke was stopped by officers at 8.15pm on March 30 on Middle Road in Warwick. When questioned told police he had drunk  rum swizzles during the day.

Broadley-Samuels, 24, was arrested after losing control of his motorbike at about 8.20pm on August 20, last year, on Kindley Field Road in St George’s.

He was treated in hospital for facial injuries, while a blood test later revealed he was over the drink-drive limit.

Both men were fined $1,200 and banned from driving for 18 months.
