Bermuda Footballers In England & Estonia

May 7, 2018

The island has footballers in action across Europe, with Nathan Trott, Reggie Lambe, Nahki Wells, and Dante Leverock’s teams playing matches this weekend.

Nathan Trott in England

Nathan Trott was an unused substitute as West Ham United took a giant leap towards securing their Premier League survival with a 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium.

The win moved West Ham six points clear of the bottom three and put a three-point cushion between Swansea City and Huddersfield Town immediately below them.

Reggie Lambe in England

Reggie Lambe and his Carlisle teammates did not hand manager Keith Curle a win to mark his final game in charge of the team as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Newport. Curle announced last month he was leaving the club after three-and-a-half years at the helm.

Dante Leverock in Estonia

Dante Leverock and his JK Navra Trans teammates moved into 4th place in the Estonia Premier League Standings with a 3 – 0 win over Kuressaare. JK Navra Trans would go in front in the 27th minute when Dmitry Barkov scored, Barkov would double the lead in the stroke of half time. In injury time of the game Dmitry Proshin would connect to make the final score 3 – 0.

Nahki Wells Vs Arsenal

Arsenal gave Arsene Wenger a memorable Emirates Stadium send-off as the outgoing boss saw his side defeat Nahki Wells and his Burnley teammates 5 – 0. Arsenal were too strong for a side who could have easily spoilt Wenger’s final home game in charge, with his tenure as Arsenal manager coming to a close at the end of the campaign. Instead, they outclassed Burnley and ran out comfortable winners as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice, with Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasinac and Alex Iwobi also getting their names on the scoresheet.
