Court: Drunk Rider Fined, Banned For 18 Months
A drink-driver who got on his motorbike while over the legal limit has been fined and banned from the roads.
Joao Craveiro was stopped on Tee Street in Devonshire on May 18 after officers saw him swerving from side to side. When he was stopped Craveiro was unsteady on his feet and his eyes were glazed, the court heard.
The 45-year-old initially told officers he had “one or two” drinks, which he quickly changed to “three or four”. At court this morning Craveiro of Devonshire was fined $1200 and banned from driving for 18 months.
