Tuesday: ‘Open Mic’ On Sex Offenders Registry

An open mic event will be hosted this Tuesday evening [Sept 18] in order to “give the public an opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns concerning a registry for sex offenders.”

The event announcement said, “To give the public an opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns concerning a registry for sex offenders, an open mic event will be hosted on Tuesday, September 18 from 6pm to 8pm at Astwood Arms Restaurant.

“Hosted by Ms. Robyn Swan, a politician, holding a senate post for the One Bermuda Alliance [OBA], the event will feature a panel to help lead the discussion, which include:

  • Ms. Debi-Ray Rivers from SCARS
  • MP Craig Cannonier who served on the Joint Select Committee related to sex offenders
  • Ms. Dany Pen from Women’s A.C.T
  • Community and Social Activist: Shari Lynn Pringle
