Halloween Event To Support A Good Cause

October 18, 2018

With multiple events now going on over the Halloween weekend, the Eliza DoLittle Society said they want to ensure their event provides the public with a multitude of reasons to attend, aside from just supporting a great cause.

“The Gosling’s Wine Cellar is being converted into a magical Wonderland with the assistance of Class Act Designs and a crew of top- notch chefs from BUZZ/Take Five Ltd. will be creating unique food stations,” the organisation said.

“There will be a Mad Hatters table covered with assortments of sweet treats to tempt the palate from vendors across the island and eclectic entertainment by Mike Hind and a DJ. The champagne and wines being poured are premium brands and the intent is to create a hi-end but affordable experience for the party goers.”

Jennifer Mahoney, Executive Director of the Eliza DoLittle Society explained, “The weekend of October 26/27th has become inundated with events, many of which included similar offerings, so we decided to sweeten the pot for potential attendees.

“We have lowered the ticket price to $100 and Gosling’s has increased their support of the event, so we are now able to offer bottomless Veuve Clicquot Champagne and selected house wines throughout the entire event. We are extremely grateful for their support and partnership.”

The Eliza DoLittle Society provides the food insecure of Bermuda with support through their Food Bank in Warwick and through other programmes such as Adopt a Senior and the student lunch programme. 100% of ticket proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Food Bank and each ticket sold equates to roughly 12 meals they will be able to provide to the local community

Mrs. Mahoney continued, “Fundraisers such as these play a vital role in allowing us to continue to provide critical services to the local community. We encourage the public to take this into consideration when selecting events to attend. You are not just attending an event but supporting a worthwhile cause.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the organizations that are supporting this event” Clarien Bank, Class Act Designs, Gosling Brother’s Limited, Buzz/ Take Five Ltd and Butterfield & Vallis, because without them none of this would be possible. These events are truly a collaborative effort and it’s awesome to see how local businesses go above and beyond for us.”

April Gosling Naudé, Senior Marketing Manager for Gosling’s, said: “It is very important for us to support local charities, as giving back to our community benefits all of us. We are happy to partner with The Eliza DoLittle Society on this event and hope to see you there!”

The event is being held on Saturday, October 27th at Gosling’s Wine Cellar from 7 pm to 11 pm and the ticket price of $100 includes bottomless Veuve Clicquot Champagne and selected wines for the entire evening, food and sweet stations and entertainment by Mike Hind and a DJ.

There will be prizes for best costume and hat and attendees can participate in a 60/40 raffle that will give them the opportunity to take home 40% of monies raised that evening through the raffle.
