BPS: Injured Baby Flown Overseas For Treatment
Police are “assisting with inquiries” after Child and Family Services personnel reported that a 12-month-old boy was admitted to the ICU with a head injury, with the baby subsequently flown overseas for medical treatment.
A police spokesperson said, “Detectives are assisting with inquiries after Department of Child and Family Services personnel reported an infant at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital receiving treatment for a head injury Friday evening [Oct 26].
“Apparently the infant, said to be a 12 month old boy, was initially admitted to the Intensive Care Unit but later flown overseas by air ambulance for further medical treatment.
“Efforts to ascertain the full circumstances of this matter continue.”
