The Community Policing Division [CPD] of the Bermuda Police Service will be hosting a Community Clinic for eastern parish residents this evening [June 30] from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Francis Patton School.

A police spokesperson said, “The clinic will feature presentations from the following BPS personnel:

  • “Inspector Tiffany Casey, Criminal Investigation Unit: Crime trends and patterns in the area, practical crime prevention advice for residents, and emerging crime trends of concern to the BPS.
  • “Acting Detective Chief Inspector Mathurin, Specialist Investigations Department: Cyber-enabled crimes.
  • “Acting Inspector Zoenique Williams: Drug trends, types of drugs currently in circulation, and their impact on young people and communities.
  • “Acting Inspector Crai-Che Hall: Financial crime investigations.
  • “Parish Officers: Neighbourhood Watch Groups and the establishment of WhatsApp chat groups within neighbourhoods to foster open lines of communication between residents and the police.

“This initiative is part of CPD’s commitment to sustained community engagement as we enter the summer months. It follows recent radio interviews aimed at encouraging resident cooperation with police, and improving victim and witness engagement in the reporting and resolution of crime. The Community Clinic is in direct furtherance of these efforts.”
