Maybe time to make it the law for all cycle drivers to ride with headlight on at all times. Who knows may have made a difference.
    Hope he is ok.

    • Hope says:

Where does it say that the cycle driver didn’t have their light on?

    • Family Man says:

With drunk drivers on the roads, you blame headlights.

Once again somebody is seriously injured because another road user has such a callous attitude to safety.

      • Micro says:

Um, if they didn’t have their lights on their just as irresponsible and a danger to others and themselves…

    • Toodle-oo says:

Oh gawd , another one who thinks that bikers with their headlights on during the day is going to put some safety bubble around them .
As a pro bike racer said to me many years ago ‘If other people (mainly car drivers) in Bermuda traveling at the speed limit can’t see other people in the oncoming lane when the sun is up they shouldn’t have a driver’s license’.

We came upon this accident when driving home. Police, ambulance and a whole lot of onlookers. Just after passing the scene we encountered one car and two bikes driving without lights. It was 10:30 pm! Not condoning a drunk driver. Just saying some vehicles don’t seem to have lights or their owners don’t choose to use them.

    • The rider says:

Shut up all of you cuz you clearly don’t know. Obviously the rider had headlights on you people just talk to talk on God!!

  3. Now loonk….the accident happened between 4:00 and 5:00 pm.
Stop with the lights you lot that tangents just not pertinent.

  4. A sign facing east around the corner (blind corner), indicating blind entrance(Marley beach) might be needed.
    Just a thought.
Eighteen is awful young hope he’s gonna be ok.

You lot are unbelievable haha. The reason for my light comment is to give better visibility to a car that may be coming out of a driveway and they may just see the bike. During The Day!!! Its a law in many places in the states and England for that very reason you idiots!!!
