Hamilton Health Centre To Be Closed This Week
[Updated] The Hamilton Health Centre on Victoria Street will remain closed for the week of October 8th – 12th 2018 while urgent building repairs are carried out, according to officials.
A spokesperson said, “Unfortunately plumbing problems have recurred and repairs are still underway.
“The following services have been temporarily relocated:
- The Communicable Disease Clinic is temporarily located at the Lambe Foggo Urgent Care Centre, St. David’s. Opening hours are 8:30am – 2:00pm. For appointments and information call 332 8942 or 278 6442.
- The Clinical Laboratory Services are located at the Lambe Foggo Urgent Care Center, St. David’s. Minimal clinic services are available by appointment only.
- Maternal Health Services are closed on Monday 8 October. For further information call 332 8895 or 278 4900.
- Adult Immunization will operate from St. Paul AME Church Centennial Hall, Court Street, Hamilton from 10:00am – 12noon on Tuesday, 9 October and Thursday 11 October, for limited immunization services, available by appointment only. For more information or to make an appointment, call 332 8917.
- Child Health: school-age children will be seen at St. Paul AME Church Centennial Hall, Court Street, Hamilton from 10:00am – 12noon , Tuesday 9 October through Friday 12 October. For more information or to make an appointment, call 332 8917.
- Well Baby Clinic: babies will be seen at Warwick clinic from 2pm-4pm, Monday 9 October and Friday 12 October. For further information, call 332 8886
- Oral Health will operate from the St George’s Clinic this week except for October 11th & 12th [Thursday and Friday] when the Clinic will be closed for training purposes. Please call 278 4900 for an appointment.
- Community Health home-based services will operate as normal. Call 332 8887 for assistance.
“Outside of the stated operating times, clients are asked to contact their physician. For emergencies only, clients are urged to go to the KEMH Emergency Department.
“An update will be provided later this week giving more information about when normal services will resume at the Victoria Street premises.
“The Department of Health apologizes to the public for the inconvenience while the repairs take place.”
Update October 8, 3.05pm: A spokesperson said, “The Maternal Health Birth Control Clinic will be operating tomorrow, October 9, at St Paul’s Centennial Hall from 10am until 12noon. This is for birth control shots and birth control pill pick-up. Further details to follow.
