Bermuda Sailors Conclude In Miami Regatta

The 2018 Orange Bowl International Youth Regatta came to an end off the shores of Miami, with Bermuda’s sailors wrapping up action.

A total of twelve races were sailed in the 212 Optimist Fleet with Sebastian Kempe leading the Bermuda Fleet rising up the leaderboard on the final day finishing in 6th place overall after starting the day in 9th with 118 points. Kempe also finished in 4th place in the Red Fleet as well.

Rachael Betschart was the next Bermuda sailor she fell from her starting position of 63rd overall to 66th with 406 points, Betschart finished in 43rd place in the Red Fleet, and holding down the 70th overall position was Paul Rodrigues with 431 points, and he finished 23rd in the Blue Fleet.

Ethan Thompson finished 43rd in the Blue Fleet and 116th overall with 331 points, finishing in the 47th position in the Blue Fleet and 122nd overall was Kipling Rossouw with 354 points, and Sophia Dias finished in 68th in the Blue Fleet and 160th overall with 512 points.

Trey Whaley finished in the 84th place in the Red Fleet and 167th overall with 534 points, while Ben Redburn finished 176th overall and 76th in the Blue Fleet with 564 points and Sarah Davis finished in 19th place sailing in the White Fleet and 183rd place with 583 points.

Jack Adderley finished as the leader of the Bermuda Fleet competing in the Optimist Green Fleet after twelve races sailed. Adderley finished 12th with 121 points, Trystan Hocking was the next Bermuda sailor and 17th overall with 202 points.

Jade Smith finished in 19th place with 239 points, while Luis Miguel Power finished in 23rd with 268 points.

Sam Redburn was 28th with 284 points, Oliver Soares was 31st with 333 points, with Ciarra Wells 35th with 368 points.

Tajahri Rogers finished 38th with 383 points, Brianna Smith was 41st with 413 points, with Arianna Smith finishing in the 46th spot with 484 points, while Alexander Pigott finished 49th with 497 points.

A’Marley Raynor finished in 53rd place with 570 points and Namazio Dill finished in 55th place with 579 points.
