Shellé Hendrickson: AXA XL Head of Healthcare
AXA XL today [Dec 6] announced that Shellé Hendrickson has been appointed as Head of Healthcare in its Bermuda Insurance business.
Ms. Hendrickson succeeds Vivienne Moniz who was recently promoted to Head of Excess Casualty, Bermuda.
In her new role, Ms. Hendrickson, who reports to Ms. Moniz, will be responsible for developing, implementing and driving strategies of the Healthcare underwriting unit.
Ms. Hendrickson has 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in casualty, life science and healthcare underwriting.
She joined XL Insurance [Bermuda] Ltd, now XL Bermuda Ltd, in 2013 as Assistant Vice President and has taken on progressively senior roles including most recently as Vice President, Excess Casualty Underwriter. Earlier this year she was selected to participate in the company’s Global Emerging Leaders Program and Future Focus Group.

In addition to her responsibilities within the company, Ms. Hendrickson is a Board Member of the Bermuda Foundation for Insurance Studies and a member of the Bermuda Society of Healthcare Risk.
She is a graduate of The Berkeley Institute, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Bryant University, Smithfield, Rhode Island and a CPCU Designation.
