Ball Hockey League: Calgary, Kelowna Win

The Bermuda Ball Hockey League Season resumed at the PCC Hockey Rink with a double header at the PCC Hockey Rink with 13 goals scored.

Calgary Hitmen 6 Las – Vegas Wranglers 0

The Calgary Hitmen defeated the Las Vegas Wranglers 6 – 0 in the opener. The Calgary Hitmen were 3 – 0 at the end of the first period with goals from Jeff Morash, Jacob Marchant and Jeff Sangster, and a second period goal off the stick of Marchant gave the Calgary Hitmen a 4 – 0 lead.

Marchant then completed his hat-trick with a goal in the final period , and Ryan Marshall added the other as the Calgary Hitmen earned a strong 6 – 0 win.

Kelowna Rockets 4 – Rimouski Oceanic 3

In the nightcap, the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Rimouski Oceanic 4 – 3.

Two goals off the stick of Ian Nash and a single strike from Dustin Luck gave Rimouski Oceanic a 3 – 1 lead at the end of the first period, with David Provost scoring the lone Kelowna Rockets goal.

The Kelowna Rockets then pulled within one when Jon Talbot scored in the second period, and the final period saw the Kelowna Rockets get goals from Adam Mattatall and Nash to record the win.
