Dr. Johnson Joins Medical Specialties Group
Dr. Andrea Gilford Johnson has joined the practice at Bermuda Medical Specialties Group [BMSG] and is now accepting new patients at their medical facility located on Reid Street in Hamilton.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Medical Specialties Group [BMSG] is pleased to announce that Dr. Andrea Gilford Johnson, MBBS, has joined the practice and is seeing patients at their medical facility located on 3 Reid Street in Hamilton. She is now accepting new patients.
“To help you get to know Dr. Gilford and experience her exceptional services, BMSG is offering a no co- pay GP appointment during the months of February and March on Wednesdays & Thursdays.”
“With the Holiday season just over, and this being the time where people put off health care over other needs, we wanted to show our support to the community at a time of year when money is limited, and people are most prone to illnesses,” says BMSG Chief Executive Officer, Marico Thomas.
Dr. Gilford Johnson has been practicing in the field of general medicine for over 17 years. She graduated from the University of Guyana in November 2000 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery Degree [MBBS]. She is also the recipient of a Diploma in Medical Technology, with distinction specializing in Hematology and has certifications in the American Heart Association Basic and Advanced Life Support Program. Her clinical interests are in community and preventative medicine.

Dr. Gilford Johnson worked with the British Virgin Islands Government at the New Peebles Hospital. Initially, as a General Medical Officer and was subsequently promoted to the position of a Medical Registrar in the Department of Medicine. While working at the Peebles Hospital, she was given an award of excellence for her work as an ardent and hardworking medical practitioner who interacted well with her colleagues and patients.
