Sakari Famous Wins Torrin Lawrence High Jump
Bermuda’s Sakari Famous recently won the Women’s High Jump event while competing in the third annual Torrin Lawrence Memorial in Athens.
Famous took top spot in a field of eight jumpers with a top leap of 1.78m.
Famous came into the event at the height of 1.70m; she missed on her first attempt, but cleared on her second attempt.
Famous cleared the bar on the first attempt at the 1.75m height, before clearing the 1.75m mark on her third attempt with two other jumpers missing the height in three attempts.
