Ariel Re Announce Appointment Of Sean Kelly
Ariel Re, a member of Argo Group, today [May 23] announced the appointment of Sean Kelly as senior vice president, specialty underwriter, credit and financial products, effective June 10, 2019. He will report to Stephen O’Flynn, head of professional lines and casualty treaty underwriting – Bermuda at Ariel Re.
“Sean has an enviable track record of managing global underwriting and modeling activities in credit and financial products,” said Matthew Wilken, deputy global head of reinsurance. “Lines under his management have consistently outperformed the market. His extensive experience in establishing new ways of analyzing, modeling and managing risk will be central in achieving Ariel Re’s long-term goals. We look forward to welcoming Sean to the team.”
Kelly brings more than 20 years of industry experience to this newly created role at Ariel Re. He joins the company from Tokio Millennium Re, where he served most recently as portfolio manager and underwriter, credit and financial products. Kelly began his career in 1994 working as a manager for Butterfield Asset Management, with subsequent roles at West End Capital.
