63-Year-Old Woman Involved In Collision
A 63-year-old woman that was involved in a car crash yesterday evening [Aug 20] on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish was not seriously hurt, but was transported by ambulance to the hospital for “medical assessment as a precaution.”
A police spokesperson said, “Around 8:45pm Tuesday, August 20th police along with Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service and ambulance personnel responded to a reported single vehicle car crash on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with East Point Lane.
“It appears that the car involved was being driven in the westbound lane of North Shore Road when it struck a wall.
“Apparently the driver, said to be a 63-year-old Smith’s parish woman, was not seriously hurt.
“However, it is understood she was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for medical assessment as a precaution.
“Temporary traffic diversions were in effect while the scene was processed and the damaged car was later towed away.
“Any witnesses are asked to call Constable Craig Outerbridge on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
