BELCO Working To Restore Power Outages
[Updated] BELCO has confirmed there are “significant outages across the island due to a major transmission fault,” explaining that their “crews are working hard to restore customers as quickly and as efficiently as possible.”
A spokesperson said, “We’re aware of significant outages across the island due to a major transmission fault. Our crews are working hard to restore customers as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
“We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available on the progress of our restoration efforts. We know that outages are inconvenient and we thank everyone in advance for their patience.”
Update 12.43pm: BELCO confirm that approximately 20,000 customers were out, and power has now been restored.
