Sick Passenger Evacuated From Cruise Ship

Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre [BMOC] received a call from Anthem of the Seas on Tuesday, advising them of a medical emergency onboard and requesting medical evacuation of a passenger.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Bermuda Radio received a call from the outbound passenger ship ‘Anthem of the Seas’ advising of a medical emergency onboard and requesting medical evacuation of a passenger.

“The vessel was under pilotage in Murrays Anchorage, outbound for sea. The Pilot/Rescue boat St. David was tasked to conduct the medical transfer and returned to Ordnance Island a short while later with the patient who was subsequently transported by Ambulance to KEMH.”
