Food Review: Restaurant Weeks At Sul Verde

My fourth stop for Restaurant Weeks was Sul Verde at Rosewood Bermuda. I love Sul Verde because the vibe is so relaxed and they have the best pizza in Bermuda.

I was excited to sample the special menu to try dishes I’d never had there. I tend to order the same thing from Sul Verde on repeat [Sul Verde Pizza, Bruschetta, Caesar Salad, etc].

For starters I enjoyed their Caprese Salad, which I something I rarely order because I usually find them bland. But, Sul Verde makes their own buffalo mozzarella so the freshness and flavour is out of this world. Also, the dish was rustic so the tomatoes and cheese were in chunks rather than slices. It was the perfect starter.

For my main, I opted for the catch of the day, which was local swordfish. Marco, the Maitre’D explained fisherman are now catching swordfish, something I didn’t realise. The dish was called Pesce All’Acqua Pazza – Bermuda Waters Harvest, Baby Roasted Potatoes, Black Olives, Cherry Tomatoes and Fresh Herbs.

This fish was similar taste and texture to Wahoo and was cooked perfectly. There was also a white wine type sauce in the dish that kept everything moist and delicious. The only thing I regretted was eating too much bread earlier because I didn’t have any left to sop up the sauce! This was an interesting presentation of catch of the day and quite delicious.

Finally, for dessert, I enjoyed Torta Caprese – Chocolate and Almond Cake with Cinnamon Ice Cream. The cake was decadent with a wonderful chocolate flavour. But it was also strangely light. The cinnamon ice cream was a nice complement to it.

Sul Verde is a great casual restaurant with incredible food. Not to mention, it’s perfect for families. If you’re looking for another place to hit before RW finishes on Sunday, check out Sul Verde.

A three-course dinner at Sul Verde during RW is $42 per person plus grats.

Is this the restaurant at the golf club?
    $14 for a Stoli(well) n water is ridiculous!!

2 cocktails pay for the bottle of Stoli itself.

    Ridiculous price!
