Bermuda Trio Help Black Rock Win National Cup
Three Bermuda footballers participated in the Generation Adidas National Cup in Richmond, Virginia, with their team emerging as champions.
All three — Zemira Webb, Marley Butterfield and Danni Watson — are members of the US based Black Rock Football Club.
The Black Rock Football Club Residential Academy from High Mowing School in NH went undefeated in this tournament and won the final defeating athletes for the Cross AFC United 3-0.
Black Rock outscored their opponents in the tournament 16 – 3.
In their opener, Black Rock Football Club Residential Academy drew 2 – 2 with Athletes For The Cross AFC United, they then defeated FC SC Titanium 8 – 1.
In their final group game, the Black Rock Football Club Residential Academy defeated Vista Freedom FC 6 – 0.
