87 Visit KEMH Due To Road Accidents In Feb

87 people visited the Hospital’s Emergency Department or Urgent Care Centre last month due to road traffic accidents, according to the latest statistics from the Bermuda Hospitals Board [BHB].

According to the BHB, “Bermuda Hospitals Board road traffic accident statistics for the period 1 January – 29 February 2020, shows the following:

  • “87 cases were seen in the Emergency Department [including the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre] due to road traffic accidents
  • “9 people required admission to an acute ward
  • “2 minors were admitted to an acute ward
  • “2 of the cases seen in Emergency were tourists“

    2017 Total = 1556 vs 2019 Total = 1794…. looks like roadside sobriety test and govt programs making things worse not better!!!!!
