Lindo’s Offer Online Ordering, Delivery Service
“We do not anticipate any problems with product supply and do not expect shipping lanes or ports to close,” Lindo’s said, with the grocery store also noting that they have “launched a new online grocery delivery service.”
A spokesperson said, “During this troubling time, the Lindo’s family would like to take a moment to update you on what is being done to ensure that we continue to deliver the same excellent service as always.
“While there are currently no cases of coronavirus in Bermuda, we are taking certain steps to protect our customers and team members in an abundance of caution. These measures include extensive cleaning of our stores throughout each day. We are also encouraging our guests to wash their hands with soap or hand sanitiser before handling groceries on the shelves.
“We are in regular communication with the Government, local suppliers and shippers and are constantly monitoring the situation to make sure that Bermudians have access to all the supplies they need. We do not anticipate any problems with product supply and do not expect shipping lanes or ports to close. If the situation changes at any time, we will, of course, update you all.
“We realise that some individuals are unable to get to the store themselves to purchase groceries, and are pleased that we have online solutions: we have launched a new online grocery delivery service, available here.
“Additionally, our partner, DropIt.bm also offers an online grocery delivery service. Delivery drivers have been briefed on how to drop off groceries in a way that minimises risk of spread of any illnesses. Please note that we cannot take phone orders at this time, but if you are unable to find someone to assist you, please call us.
“We have a higher volume of customers than normal, but otherwise it’s business as usual at your local Lindo’s. We will continue to work closely with the Government and our partners to ensure we continue to serve our community as we always have and deliver excellent goods and services.
“We thank you all for your loyal and continuing custom. Look after yourselves and your loved ones. We leave you with Psalm 139:16, which says: “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” We find comfort in these words because our lives are no different from what they were before Covid 19 – God has already ordained our days with or without this challenge.”
