Pacific Life Donate $100K For Covid-19 Relief
Pacific Life Re announced today [May 5] that through the U.S.-based Pacific Life Foundation, it has donated $100,000 to the Bermuda Community Foundation as part of its $300,000 worldwide donation package.
A spokesperson said, “Pacific Life Re announced today its support for COVID-19 emergency funds to the Bermuda Community Foundation.
“Through the U.S.-based Pacific Life Foundation, Pacific Life Re has provided a $100,000 [USD] contribution to the Bermuda Community Foundation as part of its $300,000 [USD] worldwide donation package.
“Passionate about helping local communities, Pacific Life Re is delighted to support charities helping those in need, particularly during these challenging and uncertain times.
David Howell, CEO, Pacific Life Re, commented, “I am delighted that we are able to make this donation to the Bermuda Community Foundation, and other communities and countries we operate in around the world. Bermuda is our new global hub, so we look forward to seeing this donation help those in need.”
Myra Virgil, Foundation Executive & Policy Analyst, Bermuda Community Foundation, commented, “Thank you for this incredibly generous donation to Bermuda’s Emergency Fund. The funds will be used to provide food, shelter and security to the many in our community who are struggling right now. Every spring, as we watch the humpback whales making their annual migration past Bermuda, we will always be able to remember your kindness to us in these testing times.”
