Membership Meetings

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Public Services Union Membership Meetings are exceptional circumstances justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4[1] of the Emergency Powers [COVID-19 Continuing Precautions] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than twenty [20] persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4[5] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than twenty [20] persons to assemble on the following dates and times at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel, 101 South Road, Southampton Parish:

Thursday June 25, 2020

9:30 am [Surnames A - B]
12:30 pm [Surnames C-F]
3:30 pm [Surnames G – L]

Friday June 26, 2020

9:30 am [Surnames M-R]
12:30 pm [Surnames S]
12:30 pm [Surnames T – Z]

Conditions as follows:

All persons attending the meetings must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.

Members to attend meeting on date and time that corresponds with the first letter of their surname.

Road Closure For Construction Of Belco’s North Power Plant Extended through to Monday, August 31st, 2020

Road Closure

For
Construction Of Belco’s North Power Plant
ExtendeD through to Monday, August 31st, 2020

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists and pedestrians that there will an extension to the two road closures presently in place for the construction of the North Power Plant at BELCO.

The roads remaining closed are:

Tribe Road # 2 – between St. John’s Road and Cemetery Road, and
Cemetery Road – between Cemetery Lane and the bridge to Gorham’s Limited
This extension has been granted through to August 31st, 2020.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to continue to use alternative routes via St. John’s Road and Cemetery Lane during these times. There will be no access granted for the public during these road closures.

Traffic controls will be under direction of BELCO’s representatives.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
