Lewis’ Goal Nominated For Goal Of The Week
A goal by Zeiko Lewis has been nominated for the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week, and fans can cast their vote online for the Bermudian footballer.
The USL website said, “From a collection of outstanding long-range strikes and beautifully worked team finishes, Week 4 of the Championship’s regular season provided another big selection of high-quality goals. We’ve picked five of the best, now you get to select which one will be the USL Championship Fans’ Choice Goal of the Week.
“Voting runs through Thursday, July 23 at 12 p.m. ET.

- “Taiberson [RGV] – #RGVvSA, 7/19/20: After ringing the post in the first half, Taiberson made no mistake with his second chance in second-half stoppage time with a beautiful finish from 20 yards into the top-left corner.
- “Jesse Daley [TAC] – #SACvTAC, 7/13/20: The Defiance produced a great comeback against Sacramento, and it was sparked by this brilliant finish by Jesse Daley from 30 yards out into the top-left corner.
- “Zeiko Lewis [CHS] – #CHSvBHM, 7/19/20: A great move down the left side between Robbie Crawford, Angelo Daley and Deshawon Nembhard set up Lewis to fire home on the volley for his second goal of the season.
- “Dariusz Formella [SAC] – #SACvTAC, 7/13/20: A great ball over the top by Drew Skundrich was controlled perfectly on the right by Jordan McCrary, and his low pass gave Formella a chance to finish first time to the right corner.
- “Sonny Guadarrama [ATX] – #ATXvOKC, 7/17/20: Guadarrama controlled a chipped pass forward beautifully to set himself up for a first-time finish back across his body and into the bottom-right corner of the net against OKC.“
