Live Updates | Following Hurricane Teddy
[Updating] Hurricane Paulette has now passed Bermuda and it was quickly followed by Hurricane Teddy, which brought tropical storm force winds to the island, with its closest approach being earlier Monday [Sept 21]. We will continue to provide updates on Hurricane Teddy below.
Power out Paget
The 4pm Govt briefing was supposed to be about Hurricane Paulette.
Instead we have Jamahl Simmons and somebody from BEDC giving us party political PLP bs.
Have you no shame?
Time and a place people. You got that badly wrong.
They were late.
They are always late. Bermudians are late, its an illness.
You cannot respect someone if you don’t respect their time.
Ridiculous.
yup actually pathetic to listen to that spew, when its suppose to be hurricane updates. I GUESS hes more important.
Well done PLP.
No longer watch any Government briefings. No point. Purely party political paid for by the taxpayer, and no one in authority cares to enforce the rules. No wonder there is mayhem on the roads with a certain set ignoring the laws and common sense, then add in disregard for decency such as parking in handicapped spaces. The list goes on. Start with more unmarked police cars and bikes which I’m sure would start sorting out the mayhem on the roads.
I’ve made those suggestions many many times fue so many years.
We can’t afford them. PLP has emptied the coffers.
They will keep doing it as long as they can get away with it.
Can I listen to the emergency station online?
You people are ridiculous. PLP haters that’s all. LOL typical OBA find anything to complain about. PLP doing a good job at keeping people safe and up to date. Get your updates from where you feel happy. People are stupid.
Enjoy your Kool-Aid
After placing of all people JETGATE as the leader you folks now have a full circus. What a bunch of desperate jokers.
Lmfao still on abt something that cost us nothing. Christ u lot are stupid. How much money has the plp cost us? Hmm? U wont answer, as usual. Keep getting tailed! Whos the friggin circus? Hahahaha. Nupties
Crazy.
Cell one says they won’t restore internet until tomorrow, due to dangers. What danger? There was no storm! That was the most non-event storm ever. Last hurricanes they fixed internet within hours and I praised them. Cell one, go fix it! We pay for it, go fix it! We have work n things to do, important stuff!
Why do you have to make this a PLP OBA thing.if you listen to 100.1 fm .also the winds were still high in certain areas at 4 pm! The press conference is coming on around 7:30 pm. So stop being stupid!
If you want the Facts for Hurricanes and Tropical Storms read what Bernews has to say!
Government People talk Propaganda only.
Thank you BELCO for the speedy return of electricity to many homes. Well done!
“Minister Ming: Hello Bermuda…. we’ve managed to navigate through a very serious hurricane.”
Thank you Minister Ming and your PLP Government colleagues for helping Bermuda navigate Hurricane Paulette.
Oh come on.
Exactly – “oh come on”. Like Burt and Ming have ANY say as to what happens when a hurricane shows up. It’s all in a manual or handbook and the appropriate agency or authority acts on what is in those handbooks. All that stuff has been worked out YEARS ago. Photo ops are all the rage with this lot.
How de heck did devonshire outages go up in de last hour. I sursly dont get why my lights aink Back on bruh. I love 5 mins away from belco. Feck man.
Where is the notification at the bus terminal people come and see no buses. Is it because they don’t give a damm from management down. It’s very unprofessional this is one reason why this country will always be behind the rest of the world with this laid back don’t give a damm attitude.
The Bermuda Weather Service NEEDS a system with built-in multiple redundancy! They cannot be ‘stuck’ with anything less than that. We need to provide them with the BEST possible connectivity. We’ve got very qualified people there. It’s like going in to KEMH for an appendectomy but not supplying the surgeon with a number 10 scalpel. Sheer insanity! Let’s give them whatever they need!
More electioneering at 330.
