Large Group Exemption: The Ever Blessed Company Party

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed The Ever Blessed Company [Trey Durham-Bean] event justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Saturday, October 24, 2020, between 5:00 pm and 11:00 pm at Fort Hamilton, Happy Valley Roadl, Pembroke Parish with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  • All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  • Maximum number of persons permitted to attend – 120.
  • Organizer to record names and contact details of event attendees for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of the event.
  • Duration of event is limited to 4 hours.
  • Wearing of masks required when not seated or moving about the venue.
  • Security / stewards to be on duty at match. To monitor and enforce physical distancing. [1 security guard per 75 persons as per Dept. of Health Guidelines – Mass Gatherings]

The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.

The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security Officials have right to attend and observe for compliance to the conditions as set by the Minister.

Conditions:

  • All persons attending the wedding reception must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  • Maximum number of persons permitted to attend – 150 [130 guests and 20 support staff].
  • Organizer to record names and contact details of event attendees for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of the event.
