Whereas pursuant to the provisions of Section 30 of the Development and Planning Act, 1974, I, the Hon. Walter H. Roban, JP, MP, Minister of Home Affairs, following consultation with the public and with the Historic Buildings Advisory Committee, have agreed to De-List the above-mentioned building.

Now, therefore, under the provisions of Section 30 of the Development and Planning Act, 1974 and all other powers thereunto enabling, I hereby give notice, that I will remove this building from the list of architectural and/or historical significant buildings.

Large Group Exemption: Funeral Repast – Albert Donawa

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Funeral Repast for Albert Donawa [Deceased] is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Sunday, October 4, 2020, between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Willowbank Resort, 126 Somerset Road, Sandy’s with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  • All persons attending the wake must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  • Number of persons permitted to attend event– 120 persons
  • Persons must wear mask when not seated or moving around the venue.
  • Duration of the repast limited to 4 hours: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
  • The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe compliance of the conditions as prescribed above.

Large Group Exemption: Bermuda Motocross Club Race Season

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Motocross Club Race Season is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble on race days as per the Motocross Club Race Day Schedule between October 2020 and May 2021 at the Bermuda Motocross Club Race Track, Southside, St, David’s, St. George’s Parish with the following conditions:

Conditions:

  • All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
  • Maximum number of spectators permitted to attend – 140 on race days as per the Bermuda Motocross Club Race Day Schedule
  • Bermuda Motocross Club to record names and contact details of spectators for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of each race day.
  • Wearing of masks required when not seated or moving about the venue.
  • Adherence to all relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.
  • The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
  • The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security Officials have right to attend and observe for compliance to the conditions as set by the Minister.
