Rhinos Rugby Team Take Part In Beach Clean Up
The Rhinos rugby squad — who are here taking part in the World Tens Series — spent some time cleaning up Tobacco Bay in the east end.
A spokesperson said, “Following their faultless performances on the field last Sunday and Monday in round one of the World Tens Series League, the Rhinos squad and staff congregated together at 10am on Tuesday morning and headed to Tobacco Bay for a beach clean.
“Under the morning sunshine, the players and staff combed the sand for trash and other debris left behind by the recent tropical storm Epsilon which struck the island late last week.
“The Rhinos spent a few hours picking up bottles, cans and plastic, before it was sorted into piles and disposed of into waste and recycling bins.”
Rhinos Head Coach Ryno Combrinck said: “We have met amazing locals who have been very good to us, so assisting with keeping the island clean is the least we can do, thus a small token of our appreciation to Bermuda.”
