Pembroke Parish Offer 40 Gift Vouchers

December 13, 2020

The Pembroke Parish Council hopes to spread the Christmas cheer a little wider this year to the Pembroke community, by providing Christmas vouchers to “those in need on a first come-first served basis.”

Council Chair, Patricka Ferguson said the Council will be providing 40 gift vouchers of $150 each, and urged people to apply as soon as possible.

“This has been a difficult and challenging year for families, in particular,” she said. “The Council wanted to do its part in alleviating some of the burden of those in need.

“This is the third installation of vouchers for the Pembroke community since the coronavirus hit our shores. We’ve helped seniors, the unemployed and single parents; and now we’re reaching out to households in need.”

The organisation said, “Pembroke residents must prove their residency via a utility bill for the most recent 2 months and attach a photo ID. Applications for the vouchers can be sent to ppcbdacommunity@gmail.com. The deadline is Friday, December 18 at 5 p.m.”
